Product Description:

“Excerpt from the book…”

Glory and loveliness have passed away;
For if we wander out in early morn,
No wreathed incense do we see upborne
Into the east, to meet the smiling day:
No crowd of nymphs soft voic’d and young, and gay,
In woven baskets bringing ears of corn,
Roses, and pinks, and violets, to adorn
The shrine of Flora in her early May.

I know very little of the Romantic poets, so I bought the Kindle edition of Keat’s Poems 1817 as a cheap introduction.

Clearly, no one at the Kindle store has actually looked at the product, let alone done any proofreading.

The bottom two lines on pretty well every page do not appear. Reducing the size of the type helps a bit, but only on the shorter poems.

I informed Kindle customer service of the defect some weeks ago, but nothing seems to have been done.

The rating is not a comment on Keat’s poetry, but about the Kindle version.

A shoddy product.

Avoid it.
